What is Healing
Healing means to heal yourself. By healing yourself you reach a stage of wholeness/healthy/holy state. All the treatment recommended in Ayurveda text is a type of healing. When you have healed yourself, then you can start thinking about healing other people. Healing is an every routine. Even eating is part of healing. You have to heal yourself and awake your own energy to a very high level. When your energy level goes up so high, that it can be seen by other people, then you can start thinking of healing other people. To heal yourself you have to learn to live a right living. Also, right mind, right speech and action is important. The practice of Pranayama and Meditation helps to build up your energy too. Healing is transmitting your key energy/life force from yourself to others.
Self Control
One should have self control on what one eats, one's way of life and all his activities. Bramachaya/Celibacy is very important. There is no place for enjoyment by any sense organs. Though a person's life may appear dry when he practices self sontrol, this is the way for his all round progress and the maintenance of good health.
Self Control of Mind, Speech and Action
* Self Control of Mind/Right Mind
The most difficult thing is control over mind. The mind is never satisfied. A person needs food, work, and rest. But when and how much one should eat and work or take rest should not be left to the blind senses. Gradually one should purify the mind and then it would rule over the senses instead of the senses ruling over the mind.
* Self Control of Speech/Right Speech
Speech has the power to make other senses active. Therefore, self control over speech is very important. To hurt the feelings of others, to tease him, abuse him or to express hatred or to make fun of anyone is the sign of lack of control over speech. To keep away from this is known as self control over speech. Harsh words create enmity. Years of friendship is often destroyed because of a few harsh words. On the contrary sweet words melt the heart of even an enemy and convert him into a friend.
* Self Control over Action/Right Action
One should understand the difference between right and wrong action and when he acts accordingly it is known as self control over action. For this, one should utilize his intelligence. If a good work comes on the way one should immediately get involved in it. If one has desire to give charity, one should immediately do so, because there may be some obstacle later on and one may not be able to give to charity. One feels good when one does good work. A karma yogi does not sway away from his way no matter how many difficulties hey may face. To work without desire is the way of karma yogi. It is not easy to work without desire of fruit. To work without desire for good results and ambition. While at action the body and mind should remain calm. There is a difference between self control over action and being tied down by action.
Right living or Sadachar
The way of life of righteous people is known as "sadhachar", right living. It is through right living that one may proceed towards peace and self realization. It gives power to shake the world. Right living is the basis of peace and happiness of all people, of all races, of all societies and of all nations. Right living does not make noise, it is language of silence. A person having a right living takes the entire world with him. He gets the taste of bliss. A poor man who is leading a right life is greater than the greatest king who has wrong life. A "sadachari" who is not educated is far greater than great scholoars. A person who follows the right way unites with the supreme soul.
